I was five years old the first time I visited the dentist. That appointment had a very important impact on my life. Then and there, I knew I wanted to become a dentist. All the models, instruments and gadgets really intrigued me. Luckily, my parents supported my dream and encouraged me throughout school. I lived in Allen Park until my freshman year in college. My parents then moved to Troy where they stayed for many years. I attended Wayne State University where I excelled in my classes. Because I attended classes year-round, I almost finished my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 3 years. I applied for early entrance to University of Detroit – Mercy Dental School , and was accepted. I began my dental career in August 1981.

I am a native of Traverse City who transplanted, with my husband and two cats, to the Metro Detroit area in 2018. After graduating in 2015 with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, I slowly continued my education online while also starting my career. I have since obtained a degree in Public Health and currently have my toe in two fields: one acting as the director of the Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition and the other as Dental Hygienist. Thanks to the convenient hours that Crimson Maple Dental provides to meet the needs of their patients, I was able to join the team in 2019 to support the Saturday schedule. I love the opportunity I get to interact with patients and share the importance of oral health care in maintaining whole body health.

I graduated in May 2019 from Baker College Dental Hygiene program and I love to share the unique story of how I ended up becoming a dental hygienist! Both my parents were immigrants from Vietnam, a country that lacked resources that we have here in America, so my first trip to a dentist was at the age of 14. I remember how afraid I was and how the staff eased all of my fears. Many years later, I was working as a nail technician and had a Dentist as one of my clients. She told me that I was very detailed with how I did nails and said that I would make a great hygienist. I was interested and decided to do my research and looked into college. Today, I really enjoy helping patients better their oral health and I am so happy to be building great relationships at Crimson Maple Dental. I am a wife and a mother of two. I love educating my patients and encouraging others to find and pursue their passion and for me, that passion is Dental Hygiene.

My loving family originated from Vietnam and eventually moved to our fine State of Michigan. Being the first in my family to attend college I developed an interest in Dentistry specifically, Dental Hygiene. Like Dr. Ubaydi, I also graduated from University of Detroit Mercy. In early 2020, I received my B.S. in both Biology & Dental Hygiene which means I am well versed in the latest training & techniques that our field has to offer. My goal is to help people and to change their understanding of dental care for the better. After overcoming my own childhood fears of the dentist, I want people to know that I understand, and I am here for them! In my free time I enjoy going to the gym and I love sports. As the Full-Time Hygienist at Crimson Maple Dental I look forward to working with our great group of patients. I am truly dedicated to giving exceptional care!
